Club Professional Sean Farren is a golfer best known for surprising golf fans last year when he achieved his long-held dream of qualifying for the U.S. Open after 21 attempts. Dubai Duty Free Announce US$1.5 million Donation to the Smile Train Charity
The Dubai Duty Free Foundation has announced a donation of US$1.5 million to Smile Train, the world’s largest charity dedicated to repairing cleft lip and cleft palate deformities in children. The announcement, which coincides with the duty free industry’s ‘Miles for Smiles’ charity run in Dubai today, is the largest single donation earmarked for Southeast Asia received by Smile Train since it was established in 1999.

Sean Farren Scores a Hole-In-One For Smile Train
When Long Island pro Sean Farren learned that he had qualified for the U.S. Open last month, his heart skipped a beat. Farren had attempted 20 times previously to qualify for the Open, and he had finally achieved his long-held dream. But he also had another goal: to use this success as a way to help kids with cleft lip and palate who have nowhere else to turn. For every par that he achieved at the Open, Farren generously donated $100 to his favorite organization, Smile Train. Now in its tenth year, Smile Train helps children with cleft lip and palate for as little as $250 and in as little as 45 minutes, giving them a new smile and a new life.
